Who We Are

Learn more about the passion and story behind Anderson Silver

About Cindy Anderson

My passions for western art stems from our life of ranching. My husband Casey was raised in a ranching family. After leaving Oregon, he has managed two large cattle ranches, one in Nevada and one in Idaho, for the past 30 years.

Together we have raised two children, our son Clint and daughter Christie. Our love of ranching runs deep in our children as well. We currently live in Bear, Idaho, where my husband has managed 1,200 head cow/calf operation for the past 14 years.

Ranching is our life but engraving is my passion. From a young age, I have always had a passion for tooling leather, creating pine needle baskets and hitching horsehair. My real passion is bright cut engraving. I have been creating silver jewelry, belt buckles, horn caps, cantle plates and most anything for the avid horseman for the past 20 plus years.

I started learning this art from Wesley Faupel with the hammer and chisel method. I then continued with Bill Huston and Jim Baltzor and moved on to using a pneumatic engraver. I have also taken a class at GRS in Kansas from Todd Daniels. I went to Montana for a week and learned from Master Engraver Diane Scalese.

Above all, my husband, Casey, has been my #1 source of encouragement and support in my journey as an engraver.

I hope you enjoy browsing through the photos and looking through my inventory. I am always open to customizing a special piece for you whether it is your brand or a special something.

Thank you for visiting!
